“Use of chemical fertilizers for Kharif Crops”

When sowing pearl millet (bajra) a recommended dose of 30 kilogram Nitrogen, 30 kilogram Phosphorus, and 30 kilogram Potash per hectare it has been recommended. For this, 65 kilogram of Urea, 190 kilogram of Single Super Phosphate (SSP), and 50 kilogram of Muriate of Potash (MOP) fertilizers should be applied. Apply 30 kilogram of nitrogen per hectare supplied via 65 kilogram of urea fertilizer 30 days after planting pearl millet (bajra).

While sowing Kharif sorghum (jowar), 50 kilogram Nitrogen, 50 kilogram Phosphorus, and 50 kilogram Potash it has been recommended per hectare. For this apply chemical fertilizers 110 kilogram of urea, 310 kilogram of single super phosphate, and 85 kilogram of muriate of potash per hectare. After 30 days of sowing Kharif sorghum 110 kilogram of urea should be appiled through 50 kilogram of nitrogen per hectare.

At the time of sowing the maize crop, apply 85 kg of urea, 380 kg of single super phosphate, and 70 kg of muriate of potash to provide 40 kg of nitrogen, 60 kg of phosphorus, and 40 kg of potash. After 30 days of sowing maize, another 40 kilogram of nitrogen should be supplied through 85 kilogram of urea. 40 to 45 days after maize sowing, 40 kilogram of nitrogen per hectare should be supplied through 85 kilogram of urea fertilizer.

When sowing the Tur (pigeon pea) crop, supply 25 kg of nitrogen and 50 kg of phosphorus per hectare using 55 kg of urea and 310 kg of single superphosphate or 125 kg of DAP fertilizer.

When sowing moong and black gram (urad), apply 20 kg of nitrogen and 40 kg of phosphorus per hectare using 25 kg of urea and 250 kg of single superphosphate.

25 kilograms Nitrogen and 50 kilograms Phosphorus through 55 kg Uria and 310 kg Single Super Phosphate should be applied at the time of sowing of groundnut crop. Also for groundnut crop, 200 kg of gypsum per hectare at the time of sowing and 200 kg, 40 to 50 days after sowing should be mixed into the soil.

For the soybean crop, recommended at the time of sowing 50 kg nitrogen, 75 kg phosphorus and 45 kg potassium per hectare, this recommended dose should be applied through 110 kg urea, 470 kg single super phosphate and 75 kg of Muriate of Potash.

When sowing for dry-field sunflowers, 50 kg of nitrogen, 25 kg of phosphorus per hectare and it is recommended to give 25 kg of potassium this recommended dose should be applied through 110 kg urea, 155 kg single super phosphate and 45 kg of Muriate of Potash.

For irrigated sunflower crop, 30 kilograms Nitrogen, 60 kilograms Phosphorus and 60 kilograms Potassium per hectare is recommended at the time of sowing. This recommended dose should be applied through 65 kg urea, 380 kg single super phosphate and 100 kg of Muriate of Potash. 30 kilograms of Nitrogen should be applied through 65 kilograms of Urea 30 days after sowing.

25 kilograms of nitrogen each should be given to sesame though 55 kilograms of urea at the time of sowing and 21 days after sowing. Also, if there is a deficiency  of sulfur in the soil, 20 kg of sulfur per hectare should be mixed into the soil.

Generally, urea fertilizer contains 46% nitrogen therefore, by multiplying the recommended amount of nitrogen by 2.17, the amount of urea to be applied to the crop can be determined.

Single super phosphate contains 16% phosphorus, therefore by multiplying the recommended amount of phosphorus by 6.26, the amount of single super phosphate to be applied to the crop can be determined.

Murate of Potash fertilizer contains 58% potassium therefore, by multiplying the recommended amount of potassium by 1.72, the amount of muriate of potash fertilizer to be applied to the crop can be determined.
